Congresswomen Sykes and De La Cruz Celebrate Women’s Leadership at National First Ladies

Sykes and De La Cruz

The National First Ladies Library and Museum, with our National Parks partners, proudly hosted Congresswoman Emilia Sykes and Congresswoman Monica  De La Cruz, co-chairs of the Congressional Bipartisan Women’s Caucus, along with their teams, on July 24th. This special visit celebrated the legacies of America’s First Ladies and highlighted the importance of women’s leadership across history and today.

David Lee, CEO of the National First Ladies Library and Museum, shared his appreciation:

"We sincerely thank Congresswoman Sykes, Congresswoman De La Cruz, and their teams for visiting us and seeing history come to life here at the National First Ladies Library and Museum. We are deeply grateful for their support and all that they do to showcase women’s leadership  just as our First Ladies have done throughout our nation’s history."

Our partnership with the National Parks and engagement with Congressional leaders reinforces the museum’s mission to preserve and promote the stories of America’s First Ladies, inspiring future generations to lead with courage and vision.
