MUSEUM RESEARCH CENTER

Want to dive deeper, conduct additional research, and learn even more about our nation's First Ladies?

The National First Ladies Library & Museum has a vast collection of books and journals dating back to the foundation of the United States of America and its original First Lady, Martha Washington.

We have an equally extensive online library that's updated regularly as First Ladies are appointed and new information is discovered.

PUBLIC ACCESS & RESEARCH

While the National First Ladies Library is open and available to the public during normal hours, an appointment must be made to access our library or museum research center. We can provide assistance on base-level information as well as direction on how to best utilize our resources. However, we are unable to provide information on genealogy or the appraisal or provenance of items.

COMMERCIAL USE & RESEARCH

If you and your company, organization, or media outlet need us to conduct research, the National First Ladies Library & Museum is able to fulfill commercial requests. Any commercial museum research requests must be received at least 48 hours before their stated deadline.

Take the next step in engaging in the living, breathing history of our country and our First Ladies. To schedule an appointment to visit our museum research center or enlist the help of our research team, call 440-317-3751.
